TKE resigns from NIC

Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity announced on Jan. 14 that it would no longer be a member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference.

The leadership of TKE constantly evaluates the value of all relationships including the NIC. This is done to ensure every member dollar is spent wisely. We move forward on a path best for our organization and our men. The Grand Council and Professional Staff consulted with industry experts including past officers of the NIC Board of Directors to arrive at this decision.

TKE becomes the second major fraternal organization to leave the NIC since Lambda Chi Alpha’s departure late last October.

After being “an active participant in the discussions of NIC 2.0 throughout the past siz months,” steps away, though the organization will still pursue lobbying efforts on issues that are important to the members of TKE, such as the Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act. (Via TKE)
